Dr. Pamela Ohri Zizzamia, DO is a triple board-certified Physician who practices Endocrinology and Obesity Medicine. She provides high-level, comprehensive care at Monarch Endocrinology in Enfield, CT. She is also a Thyroid Specialist, highly skilled in biopsy of thyroid nodules and lymph nodes within the neck, which she performs in her office. She takes an evidence-based approach to care, and focuses on the overall health and wellbeing of her patients. She partners with her patients to help them achieve optimal metabolic health.
Dr. Ohri Zizzamia graduated from the Emma Willard School in Troy, NY. After earning her Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Colorado at Boulder, Dr. Ohri Zizzamia received her Medical Degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. She then completed her Internship, Residency and Fellowship at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine (UConn Health). During her training she saw many of the most complex and rare Endocrine cases, and also became well versed in the management of more common Endocrine conditions like Diabetes and Osteoporosis.
After fellowship Dr. Ohri Zizzamia served as the Medical Director of Endocrinology at Holyoke Medical Center. She ran the high-volume Thyroid Biopsy and Thyroid Cancer Treatment program. She created HMC’s first Endocrine Neoplasia Program, and developed a collaboration with both Baystate Medical Center and Massachusetts General Hospital to offer advanced Endocrine testing to HMC Patients. She worked hard to improve access to basic medical care for patients within the Holyoke Community, and developed a specialized Primary Care Program, with the goal of providing advanced training in Diabetes management to primary care providers. In 2023 she left HMC in order to pursue her lifelong dream of owning her own practice, Monarch Endocrinology.
Dr. Ohri Zizzamia holds board certifications in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism as well as Obesity Medicine and Internal Medicine. She is currently accepting new patients at her Enfield office location.
